			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p id="top" />Director Tony Tsendeas&#8217; local production of David Davalos&#8217; hilarious <em>Wittenberg</em> got a spring workout at the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival before moving over to Rep Stage this past fall with the blithe cast in tow, including the comedic duo of Michael Stebbins as the constipated-by-doubt Martin Luther and the scene-stealing Seth Reichgott as Doctor John Faustus. <span id="more-98"></span>Davalos dreams up a literary doozy&#8211;putting Hamlet (Michael Feldsher) at Wittenberg University at a time when both Christopher Marlowe&#8217;s fictional creation and the actual church reformer were faculty members. Everything from Davalos&#8217; dialogue and Tsendeas&#8217; direction to the actors&#8217; on-point performances help this production pull off a comedic doozy: perfectly threading the needle between the outrageously loopy and disarmingly intelligent</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p id="top" /><em>Tony Tsendeas was the Artistic Director of Baltimore’s internationally recognized Action Theater. In residence at the Baltimore Theater Project, the company toured Northern Europe and Great Britain with its production, BeckettLand, a collection of short pieces by Samuel Beckett, set in a Ghost Carnival or Bemusement Park.  Action’s many lauded productions include The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The Madman and the Nun and The American Dream. Currently an artistic associate for The Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, Mr. Tsendeas has directed the company’s acclaimed productions of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Othello, Julius Caesar, and performed as Caliban in The Tempest, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, The Player in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Paroles in All’s Well That Ends Well and recently Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night. Tony has appeared on HBO’s The Wire, NBC’s Homicide: Life on The Streets, and made appearances on The Family Channel, The Learning Channel and The Discovery Channel. Regional theater credits include Roundhouse Theater, Rep Stage, Theater J, Woolly Mammoth Theater, Everyman Theater, Center Stage, Axis Theater and The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Tony is a proud member of the theater faculty at the Baltimore School for the Arts.</em></p>
